Welcome to this week’s worship service at The Vine! 🌿

In today’s message from John 12:27–36, we step into a deeply emotional moment in the life of Jesus as He approaches the cross. Though His soul was troubled, Jesus chose obedience, surrender, and the glory of the Father over escape from suffering.

At the center of this passage is a powerful truth:
Jesus embraced the darkness of the cross so that we could walk in the light of life.

In this message, we reflect on:

  • The humanity of Jesus and His real anguish before the cross

  • Why the cross was not an accident or “Plan B,” but the very reason Jesus came

  • How what looked like defeat was actually victory over sin, darkness, and death

  • Jesus’ invitation to walk in the light before darkness overtakes us

The crowd struggled to understand a Messiah who would suffer and die. But Jesus reveals that true glory would come not through avoiding the cross—but through embracing it.

This passage calls us not only to admire Jesus, but to believe Him, follow Him, and walk in His light while we have the opportunity.

May this service encourage you to trust the Savior who willingly walked into suffering so that we could experience life, hope, and freedom through Him.
