Welcome to this week’s worship service!

Today we continue in John 6 with one of the most challenging passages in all of Scripture. After declaring that He is the living bread from heaven, Jesus tells the crowd that they must eat His flesh and drink His blood to have eternal life. His words stir up offense, confusion, and grumbling — but also reveal a deep spiritual truth.

📖 In John 6:52–63, we learn:

  • Why Jesus’ teaching was so difficult for His hearers to accept

  • How His words go beyond the physical to reveal a spiritual reality

  • That eternal life comes not from rituals or effort, but from believing in and feeding on Christ

  • “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.” (v. 63)

This passage reminds us that following Jesus isn’t about surface-level religion — it’s about truly receiving Him as our life, our sustenance, and our salvation.
