Welcome to this week’s worship service at The Vine! 🌿
In today’s message from John 14:20–24, Jesus reminds us that following Him is about more than knowing the right things or believing the right words. It's about having a real, personal relationship with God that changes the way we live.
At the heart of this passage is a powerful truth:
Jesus doesn't just want to be someone you believe in. He wants to be someone who lives in you, loves through you, and makes His presence known through you.
As Jesus continues preparing His disciples for what lies ahead, He explains the incredible relationship believers have with Him and the Father. He also teaches that our love for Him is revealed through our obedience - not because obedience earns God's love, but because it reflects a life transformed by His grace.
In this message, we explore:
Jesus brings us into a relationship with God.
Our love for Jesus is revealed in how we live.
Jesus makes His home with those who love Him.
There's a difference between knowing what Jesus says and allowing His words to shape who we are. The gospel doesn't tell us to earn our place with God through good behavior. Instead, Jesus has accepted us through His grace, and we are invited to live like people who belong to Him.
So here's a question worth considering: Do I truly know Jesus, or do I just know about Him?
May this message encourage you to grow in your relationship with Jesus, respond to His love with obedience, and experience the incredible promise of His presence in your life.
