Welcome to this week’s worship service at The Vine! 🌿
In today’s message from 2 Timothy 1:3–8, we were challenged with a powerful question: What can we do—whether young or old—to further God’s kingdom?
Looking at Paul’s encouragement to Timothy, we’re reminded that faith is never meant to stop with us. Paul invested in Timothy. Timothy’s faith was shaped by his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice. The gospel moved from one generation to the next.
We explored the truth that:
Everyone needs a Paul, a Barnabas, and a Timothy
It is our responsibility to pass on our faith
The Holy Spirit within us must be continually fanned into flame
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline
This service included a special time of group prayer for young people, asking God to raise up bold, faithful disciples who will carry the gospel forward.
Whether you are mentoring someone, encouraging someone, or being poured into yourself, this message is a call to live courageously and unashamed of the gospel.
May we be people who reignite the flame and help the next generation do the same.
